Manager Position
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Education: High school diploma.
Work Experience: Seven
years investment-grade mortgage lending experience. Five
years underwriting experience. Three years supervision/management
experience. Group and individual training.
Technical Competencies: PC
skills required, MS Windows environment.
MS Word, Excel, and mortgage banking applications. Comprehensive understanding
of FNMA/FHLMC/conduit guidelines. Ability to master company published policy/procedure
and product materials. Familiarity with industry-standard underwriting practices
(workflow, staffing needs, procedures, etc.). Up-to-date knowledge of market conditions.
Personal Competencies: Developed
administrative skills (planning, staffing, developing
systems and processes,
and handling multiple demands). Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication
skills.
Proven leadership skills. Developed interpersonal skills (particularly in managing
different views).
Motivational skills (drive for results, show commitment). Effectively
analyze and solve problems. Manage
diverse and multiple projects. Ability
to forecast. Follow-up and follow-through
with precision. Document consistently
and comprehensively. Make independent
decisions; consider alternatives. Meet deadlines.
Participate in maintenance of resource materials. Commit to a process of continuous improvement.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform essential
responsibilities including using a computer for a minimum
of four hours per day with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work Environment: Ability
and willingness to travel nationwide. Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends
as business dictates.
